Bio

Bailee is based in Hilton KZN and shoots all over the Midlands. Bailee fell in love with Photography in her early 20’s when she purchased her first film camera . All of Bailee’s knowledge of photography is entirely self taught which is a true testament to her creative eye and artistic talent. Bailee has an amazing eye for catching the magical moments that happen and her fun and lively personality radiates throughout her sessions.

Bailee went professional in 2014 and shot her first wedding back in 2016 , since then she has captured a total of 50 weddings in a short number of years.

Bailee is primarily a wedding photographer but also shoots lifestyle, commercial and fashion photography. Her style is a mix between creative portraiture and documentary which gives her flexibility between different shoots. Bailee is all about natural imagery as opposed to overly "posed" stuffy photos and her utmost goal for each and every shoot is to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere allowing her photos to be more natural, spontaneous and full of laughter. Bailee likes to push the boundaries of photography by using her surrounding and by making photos that are truly unique for each and every one of her clients.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

Although Bailee is primarily a wedding photographer in the Midlands Natal , we absolutely love to travel. Nothing is more exciting than heading off to another country to shoot abroad. We cover all travel costs for weddings up to 200km outside Pietermaritzburg area.

DO WE NEED TO COVER YOUR ACCOMMODATION?

We will require accommodation with two single beds on the night of the wedding for venues more than 100kms and the night of and the night before the wedding for venues over 200kms. We handle these bookings and can provide a quote for which the costs will be invoiced for. 

DO YOU HAVE A SECOND SHOOTER?

We always work closely as a team of two on all weddings, with Bailee leading the photographic coverage along with his assistant who is also a professional photographer so you are in excellent hands. 

HOW DO WE SECURE THE DATE WITH YOU?

To secure the date with us, we require our booking fee which is 25% of the package total that you choose and a signed copy of the Photography Contract.

DO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THE COURIER COSTS?

All of our Wedding Collections cover courier costs throughout South Africa. Additional albums or prints may require a separate courier cost. International courier costs are not covered as they vary drastically.

HOW LONG WILL WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PHOTOS?

We love turning around photos quickly. All of the images will be edited and uploaded to your Online Client Gallery within a maximum of 6-8 weeks of the wedding day. Should your package include an album, we will then spend a week designing this after which it will be sent to print. We always aim to have your Wedding Collection delivered to you within 10 weeks for packages with an album and 8 weeks for packages without.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED FOR PHOTOS?

Reception Decor: 30 minutes. Its best to do the decor shots before we start with the brides and grooms preparations so that your guest wont have to wait to enter the reception. You just need to make sure that your decor company is finished with the reception when our coverage starts.
Grooms Preparations: 60 minutes. We ask our gents to make sure they aren’t dressed when we arrive as we will love photographing the “getting ready” process.
Brides Preparations: 90 minutes. We ask our brides to time their makeup artist finishes their makeup about 20 minutes after we arrive, as then we can maximise time spent with the bride.
Family & Group Shots: 30 minutes. This depends on the size of your family and the number of guests.
Creative Shoot: 60-90 minutes. We do shoot quite quickly, but it is nice to have more than hour so we can spend some time making some truly memorable photos.
Reception: This is completely up to our couples – we just need the times of the formalities before the wedding.

CAN WE SCHEDULE A MEETING WITH YOU?

Absolutely! We are available to meet during the week or week ends after normal work hours in order accommodate your schedules and for Skype calls for out-of-town couples.

WHAT TIME SHOULD WE SCHEDULE OUR WEDDING CEREMONY?

If you want to get the best creative photos, its a great idea to schedule your wedding ceremony to finish about two hours before sunset on your wedding day.
